Every name in the Naborhi collection is chosen with care. Ayanfe comes from Yoruba (Nigeria) — it means the beloved one. This dress carries that name, cut from Ankara wax print cotton by skilled tailors in Lagos and made to order exclusively for you.

Wear it as shown — the dress does the work. Heels for evening, flat sandals for the day. Gold jewellery. Nothing more needed.

The Fabric

Ankara wax print is one of West Africa's most enduring textiles — bold, structured, and made to be seen. The cotton has real weight to it. It holds its shape, keeps its colour through wash after wash, and moves with the body rather than against it. Originally rooted in Indonesian batik, Ankara was carried to West Africa through trade and claimed so completely that it became its own. Today it is worn for celebrations, for ceremonies, for ordinary days made extraordinary.

Wax Print (100% Cotton). Cold wash, low iron. Do not tumble dry. Wash inside out to preserve colour.
