Kele — short for Chukwukele — is a name given in recognition that a child arrived as a gift from God. God has given. The KELE palazzo trousers carry that quietly. Wide, fluid, bold in print. Made to order in Lagos by skilled tailors who cut each piece individually.

The Fabric

Ankara wax print is one of West Africa's most enduring textiles — bold, structured, and made to be seen. The cotton has real weight to it. It holds its shape, keeps its colour through wash after wash, and moves with the body rather than against it. Originally rooted in Indonesian batik, Ankara was carried to West Africa through trade and claimed so completely that it became its own. Today it is worn for celebrations, for ceremonies, for ordinary days made extraordinary.
